Maruti S-Presso, Eeco Recalled Over Potentially Faulty Steering Tie Rod

  • Maruti Suzuki has issued a recall for 89,599 units of S-Presso and Eeco models in India due to a potential fault in a part of the steering tie rod, which may impact the steerability and handling of these vehicles.
  • In rare cases, the steering rod may also break.
  • The company says that the affected units of S-Presso and Eeco were manufactured between July 5, 2021 and February 15, 2023.
  • Maruti Suzuki has stated that its authorised service centres will soon start contacting owners of affected vehicles for inspection and replace the faulty part without any charges.
  • Earlier, Maruti had given a recall for the S-Presso and Eeco in January due to a suspected fault in the airbag control module. Maruti promptly settled the issue free of cost.
