This July, we’re going to witness three highly anticipated car launches and one debut. Korean automaker Kia’s most awaited Seltos facelift will be unveiled first, and then we will see the launch of a brand new MPV from Maruti Suzuki. A new compact SUV will also be launched this month from Hyundai. In the luxury space, a new-generation version of GLC will hit our shores later this month.
Kia Seltos Facelift
Unveil Date – 04 July 2023
- A major update is coming for the Kia Seltos after four years since it debuted in 2019.
- The much-anticipated facelift update will bring a new turbocharged petrol engine, a host of important design changes and new features, including ADAS.
- The ongoing 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines are expected to be carried forward.
Maruti Suzuki Invicto
Launch date – 05 July 2023
- Maruti Suzuki is going to enter the premium MPV space with the rebadged Toyota Innova Hycross that will be christened as “INVICTO”.
- Compared to its donor model, the Maruti MPV will flaunt some cosmetic changes, especially at the front end, to give it a different identity.
- Inside, it is likely to get a new colour scheme and upholstery.
- Reports also suggest that the Maruti Invicto could skip the ADAS technology to keep its prices in check.
- Underneath the hood, the Invicto is likely to be equipped with only a 172PS 2-litre petrol-hybrid engine of the Hycross, paired with an e-CVT automatic transmission.
- It is expected to offer a fuel efficiency of approximately 23.4 kmpl.
Hyundai Exter
Launch date – 10 July 2023
- The Hyundai Exter is a micro-SUV that will share its underpinnings and powertrain options with the Grand i10 Nios.
- Bookings for the Exter are already underway for a token amount of Rs 11,000.
- The Exter boasts a typical SUV styling, with rugged styling elements giving it a tough look.
- Hyundai will equip the Exter with plenty of segment-first features, including a single-pane electric sunroof and dual dashcam. The other notable inclusions will include an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment, digital instrument cluster, wireless charger, six airbags (standard), ESC, hill hold assist and much more.
- It will be offered in seven broad trim levels – EX, EX (O), S, S (O), SX, SX (O), and SX (O) Connect.
- It will face competition from the Tata Punch and Citroen C3.

New Mercedes-Benz GLC
Launch date – TBU
- The second-gen Mercedes-Benz GLC is slated to be launched later this month; however, the specific date is yet to be revealed.
- Bookings for this upgraded SUV have already begun for an initial deposit of Rs 50,000.
- The SUV is set to undergo substantial design changes and will receive plenty of new features, making it more techy than ever.
- It is expected to be offered with both 2-litre petrol and diesel engine options, equipped with a 48V mild-hybrid system for an additional power boost.
