Land Rover Defender 130 Prices Annouced

Land Rover India has announced the prices of the Defender 130, which is essentially an extended version of the Defender 110 with the capability of seating eight occupants in a 2-3-3 configuration. The SUV is available in two variants – HSE and X, across two engine options.

Powering the Defender 130 is either a 3.0-litre, six-cylinder, petrol (P400) or a 3.0-litre, six-cylinder, diesel engine (D300), both comes paired with mild-hybrid tech, an 8-speed automatic transmission and an all-wheel drive system. The petrol motor produces 394bhp of max power and 550Nm of torque, while the diesel mill makes 296bhp/600Nm.

Design-wise, the Defender 130 looks similar to the Defender 110. However, it is longer by 340mm to liberate space for the last row of seats. But the wheelbase remains the same as the Defender 110.

With the added length, the off-road abilities have also been impacted by a smaller margin, especially the departure angle. Here’s a look: –
