In addition to launching the entry-level S1 Air variant, Ola Electric has also revealed details about the MoveOS 3 update, which will make your e-scooter a more features-packed machine. Here’s everything that you need to know about this upcoming MoveOS 3 over-the-air (OTA) software update: –
- Features like hill-hold assist, three levels of regenerative braking, proximity lock/unlock (upon approaching, the scooter will unlock), key sharing (a digital key lets multiple riders operate the scooter without revealing the passcode), Bluetooth calling, and fast charging support (Ola calls it Hypercharging), which were promised back in 2021, will be offered in the MoveOS 3 update. The brand claims to have installed 50 hyperchargers across the country, which can energise its battery pack with a 50km range in just 15 minutes.
- The latest MoveOS update will also offer three ”Riding Moods”, namely Bolt, Vintage and Eclipse, which change the user interface on the rider’s display. And through the onboard speakers, the scooter will now cast a faux exhaust sound tailored to the selected theme.
- Also on the cards is a “Vacation Mode” that will save battery life during extended periods of inactivity.
- With multiple profiles, one can now share the scooter safely & securely with your buddies & family members.
- It also has a “Party Mode”, in which the scooter’s lights flash in sync with any soundtrack being played through the speakers.
