Tata Motors is likely to make the XT variant of the Tiago hatchback more feature-rich as part of its ongoing drive to update its existing model lineup. The brand has recently updated its Harrier and Nexon range of SUVs with new variants and features.
As per the reports, the mid-spec XT variant of Tata Tiago is expected to receive a blacked-out B-pillar, 14-inch dual-tone hyper-style wheels, a height-adjustable driver seat, a rear parcel shelf, and a co-driver side vanity mirror. Besides features like a 2-DIN music system from Harman, electrically adjustable ORVMs, manual AC, steering mounted audio control, dual airbags, ABS with EBD, corner stability control, rear parking sensors, etc will continue to be on offer.

Currently, Tata offers the Tiago in six variants: XE, XM, XT (O), XT, XZ, and XZ+, ranging from Rs 5.40 – 7.82 lakh (ex-showroom). Driving duties are taken care of by a 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder petrol engine that makes 86PS of maximum power and 113Nm of peak torque. It comes paired with a standard 5-speed manual gearbox and an optional 5-speed Automated Manual Transmission (AMT). Tata Motors also offers the Tiago hatch in a rugged-looking crossover-like version christened as ‘Tiago NRG’. It could also receive a new entry-level XT variant. Currently, it is sold in a sole XZ+ trim, which is priced at Rs 6.83 lakh for manual and Rs 7.38 lakh for its automatic version (both prices, ex-showroom).
