Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Receives Over 13,000 Bookings In Less Than Two Weeks

Latest Update: Maruti Grand Vitara has finally been launched in India. Check the full-price list here.

  • Strong-hybrid variants are in most demand.
  • Launch expected in September 2022.
  • Will be available in five variants: Sigma, Delta, Zeta, Alpha, Zeta+, and Alpha+.

Over 13,000 customers have reserved the recently unveiled Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara since the commencement of its bookings on July 11, 2022. It is essentially a cross-badge version of the Toyota Hrydyer that will be available with two engine options: mild-hybrid and strong-hybrid petrol units.

If reports are to be believed, the strong-hybrid variants account for 54 percent of total bookings. The high demand for these variants could be due to their greener and frugal nature. That said, the 1.5-liter self-charging strong-hybrid engine of the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara is claimed to offer a fuel efficiency of up to 27.97 kmpl. It is capable of running in pure EV mode as well.

Another reason could be the limitation of a host of premium features that you will only get with the strong-hybrid variants only. These include ventilated front seats, a premium sound system, 360-degree camera, tyre pressure monitoring system, Heads-up display (HUD), and wireless smartphones charger.

Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara AllGrip Select

Aside from the above-mentioned features, the Grand Vitara also gets many firsts for the Maruti Suzuki, such as the AllGrip Select AWD system, multiple driving modes, and a panoramic sunroof. Click here for variant-wise features details.

Expect Maruti Suzuki to launch the Grand Vitara in September 2022, with prices likely to start from around Rs 9.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
