Toyota Camry Hybrid Gets Costlier By Rs 90,000

Soon after increasing the prices of Innova Crysta and Fortuner, Toyota has now revised the asking rates of its flagship sedan, the Camry, by up to Rs 90,000. That said, the three-box hybrid car now costs Rs 44.35 lakh (ex-showroom). The reason for the price hike is yet to be revealed, but it might have done to compensate for the rising manufacturing cost.

Aside from the price hike, no other changes have been made to the Toyota Camry Hybrid. It will continue to be available in a single variant that comes loaded with three-zone climate control, a heads-up display (HUD), wireless smartphone charger, a 10-way adjustable driver’s seat, a 9-inch infotainment system, ventilated front seats, a JBL sound system, an electric sunroof with a retractable sunshade, tyre pressure monitoring system, 9 airbags, ABS with EBD, park assist, vehicle stability control, traction control, and hill-start assist. It also gets three driving modes: Sport, Eco, and Normal.

Powering the Toyota Camry Hybrid is a 2.5-liter self-charging petrol-hybrid engine that produces a combined output of 218PS and comes mated to a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) with paddle shifters. It can be driven in pure ICE / pure EV mode or a combination of both. Its battery gets an 8-year/1.6 lakh-km warranty (whichever comes first).
