You Can Now Pre-Book The 2022 Hyundai Venue Facelift; Key Features Revealed

Latest Update: 2022 Facelifted Hyundai Venue has finally been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 7.53 lakh. Click here for more details.

  • The exterior design has been revealed.
  • Refreshed Venue will be available in seven variants: E, S, S+, S (O), SX, SX+, and SX (O).
  • Confirmed features addition includes Home to Car (H2C) remote control function, a two-step reclining rear seat, and a feature called ‘Sounds of Nature’.
  • Hyundai is expected to price the 2022 Venue from Rs 7.25 lakh to Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom).
  • N-Line Venue is also on the cards.

Hyundai Motors India has started accepting bookings for the 2022 Venue facelift for a token amount of Rs 21,000. The brand has also revealed SUV’s exterior and detailed some new features ahead of its launch on June 16, 2022.

While we have already discussed Venue’s exterior design, the carmaker has now revealed that the facelifted SUV will now come equipped with improved connected car tech with a new feature called ”Home to Car (H2C)” that will enable customers to control various vehicle functions like remote AC control, door lock/unlock, vehicle status check, find my car, tire pressure, and fuel level information, etc., right from the comfort of their homes via Alexa & Google Voice Assistant. Interestingly, it will support both English and Hindi languages.

Reports are also suggesting that the new Venue will also get a host of new segment-first features, including a two-step reclining rear seat and a feature called ‘Sounds of Nature’ that will play soothing nature sounds while driving. It will continue to be available in seven variants: E, S, S+, S (O), SX, SX+, and SX (O). The brand will also provide the new Venue with sporiter N-Line treatment in the near future.

Talking about the powertrain, the refreshed Hyundai Venue will continue with the ongoing engine options that include a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol, 1.0-liter turbo-petrol, and a 1.5-litre diesel. However going by the online booking portal, the brand will no longer offer its turbocharged gasoline mill with manual transmission. At the same time, the oil burner will continue to be available with only a manual gearbox as before. A new 6-speed torque converter was expected to be offered with the SUV’s diesel mill, but the brand doesn’t seem to be in a hurry to do so.

We expect Hyundai to price the new Venue between Rs 7.3 lakh and Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will emerge as a more competitive offering against the Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, and soon-to-be-updated Maruti Vitara Brezza and Toyota Urban Cruiser.
