2022 Skoda Kodiaq Could See A Price Hike Soon

Zac Hollis, the Director of Sales and Marketing, Skoda India, has indicated a possible price hike for the next lot of the recently launched 2022 Skoda Kodiaq facelifted SUV. While the quantum of the price revision is yet to be revealed, we believe it could be between 2 to 4 percent. Bookings for the SUV are already underway and interested customers can reserve one for a token of Rs 50,000. 

For those who aren’t aware, the first batch of the facelifted Skoda Kodiaq was sold out within 24 hours of its launch. With this, the SUV is commanding a waiting period of over four months.

2022 Skoda Kodiaq – Price, Variants, Features, and Other Specifications

Skoda offers the 2022 Kodiaq in three trims: Style, Sportline, and Laurin & Klement (L&K), which are priced between Rs 34.99 lakh and Rs 37.49 lakh (ex-showroom, India).

The top-spec L&K variant of the 7-seater SUV comes loaded up to the brim. These include an all-LED lighting system, adaptive headlamps, 18-inch alloy wheels, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, gesture control, a 12-speaker Canton sound system, wireless smartphone charging, 2-spoke steering wheel, cruise control, three-zone climate control, a virtual cockpit, 10-color ambient lighting, powered front seats with memory, heating & ventilation function, panoramic sunroof, electronic parking brakes, 9-airbags, a 360-degree camera, hands-free parking, and much more.

It also features Skoda’s Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) system, which adjusts the firmness of the suspension system based on the drive mode for utmost comfort & ease of driving. 

Underneath the hood, there’s the 2.0-lite, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine (190PS/320Nm), paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT) and an All-Wheel-Drivetrain (AWD). 

Competitors

Being a monocoque SUV, the Kodiaq doesn’t have any true challenger in its segment. However, the petrol version of the body-on-frame Toyota Fortuner SUV could be seen as its close challenger.
