Tata Safari Dark Edition – What’s New?

As the name suggests, the Dark Edition is essentially a blacked-out version of the Tata Safari. It gets tons of cosmetical changes both inside and outside.

Starting from the exterior, Tata has finished the flagship SUV in the signature glossy Oberon Black body colour, with premier dark treatment on the grille, window surrounds, alloy wheels, badging, roof rails, and the other chrome elements for a stealthier look. There’s also the #DARK insignia on the front fenders of the SUV.

Inside the cabin, the Tata Safari #Dark Edition boasts an exclusive Blackstone theme with piano black touches to the key elements. It’s elegant Nappa Granite Black upholstery gets Blue Tri Arrow Perforations and Blue Stitching.

As for features, its top-spec XZ+ trim gets all the bells -&-whistles from the Safari Gold Edition such as wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, wireless charging, ventilated front & rear seats (in 6-seater variant), and an air purifier, among others.

Engine and Transmission

Mechanically, the Safari #Dark remains unchanged. That said, it continues with the existing 170PS/370Nm 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
