The TVS Apache RTR 165 RP is likely to be based on the Apache RTR 160. However, the bikemaker could rebore its engine to make it more powerful than its standard counterpart, which makes out 17.63PS and 14.73Nm. It could also get a preload-adjustable telescopic fork and multiple riding modes like the TVS Apache RTR 200 4V. Besides, it could also feature aggressive ergonomics, and sportier graphics & paint schemes.

Expect the new TVS Apache RTR 165 RP to carry a significant price premium over its regular counterpart (160cc), which ranges from Rs 1.15 lakh to Rs 1.21 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Its existing model is already the most feature-packed and powerful offering in its segment, and with the launch of Apache 165 RP, it will get another edge over its arch competitors like the Bajaj Pulsar NS160, Hero Xtreme 160R, Yamaha FZ-S Fi, and Honda X-Blade.
