Tata Power Installed Over 1,000 Charging Stations Across The Country

Tata Powers has achieved a milestone of installing over 1,000 public charging stations for electric vehicles (EVs) across the country. In addition, the brand has also set up close to 10,000 home EV charging points so far.

Tata Power has collaborations with Tata Motors, MG Motors, Jaguar Land Rover, TVS, IOCL, HPCL, and many other OEMs, organizations, and state governments for developing EV charging infrastructure (EVCI) for their customers/dealers/citizens. Currently, Tata Power's EV charging network is spanning in over 180 cities of multiple states across offices, malls, public places, retail outlets, highways, etc. The company has plans to expand its presence further in many cities of the country. It also aims to have 10,000 charging stations on highways, offering immunity from range anxiety.

Recently, the company has also tied up with Lodha Group for installing charging stations in its commercial and residential projects in Mumbai.

Commenting on this occasion, Dr. Praveer Sinha, CEO & MD, Tata Power said – 

We have started the first of our many milestones towards enabling the EV revolution in the country through the successful deployment of over 1000 EV charging points in the public domain. This makes Tata Power the country’s largest EV charging solutions provider. Our innovative and collaborative approach has made a significant impact in developing this ecosystem and encouraging EV adoption in the country. We remain committed to playing a key role along with other stakeholders in achieving the national goal of transition to green mobility.

In other news, Tata Motors has recently announced to create a new subsidiary for its electric vehicle division. And for that, it has received an investment of Rs 7,500 crores from TPG Rise Climate. The brand will launch up to 10 new EVs by 2025, which could also include electric versions of Altroz and Punch.
