All-Electric Mini Cooper SE Teased; Launch Soon

The Mini Cooper SE is the first electric car from the British legend that is based on the three-door Cooper S sports hatchback. It looks largely similar to its regular combustion-engine counterpart except for a few distinctive elements. These include a new front grille with an ‘E’ badge, 17-inch 4-spoke alloy wheels, and striking yellow accent (optional) on its grille, ORVMs, wheels.

The interior design of the electrified Cooper is also similar to the Cooper S with notable features like an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connected car technology as well as remote services, Apple CarPlay smartphone integration, a Harman Kardon audio system, a 5.5-inch coloured digital display, heated steering wheel, ambient lighting, dual-zone climate control, electric parking brake, three driving (Green, Green+ and Sport), wireless charging, head-up display (HUD), and much more.

The brand will also offer various exterior and interior customisation options with the Mini EV.

The electric hot-hatch can accelerate to 100kmph in just 7.3 seconds and has a top speed of around 150kmph (limited). Using an 11kW charger can take up to 2.5 hours to juice it up from 0 to 80 per cent. It also supports fast charging of up to 50kW that can energise its battery pack by 80 per cent in just 35 minutes.
