Besides, features like Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone connectivity, 9-element LED DRLs, rear washer & wiper, and the rear defogger will be standard across its entire variant line.
Furthermore, the brand is also expected to offer the Astor SUV with a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, wireless charging, ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, electronic stability control, traction control, hill hold assist, a 360-degree camera, and up to six airbags. MG is expected to provide the Astor with a 1.3-liter turbo-petrol motor (160PS/230Nm) with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission options. It could also borrow a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol (106PS/141Nm) engine from its UK-spec version.
We expect MG Astor to be priced between Rs 10 lakh to Rs 18 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it against the Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Suzuki S-Cross, Renault Duster, and the upcoming Volkswagen Taigun and Mahindra XUV700.
