Next-Gen Mahindra Scorpio To Get 360 Degree Camera

The earlier spy images of the new Scorpio have also confirmed new features such as a large touchscreen infotainment system (possibly run on Mahindra’s new AdrenoX UI), dual-zone climate control, electric sunroof, roof-mounted speakers, an analogue instrument cluster, new dual-beam LED headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels and rear disc brakes.

Besides, it is also expected to get connected car technology, wireless Apple Carplay & Android Auto, Alexa voice assistant compatibility, height-adjustable driver's seat, keyless entry with push-button start, multiple airbags, and much more.

The new Scorpio is likely to be driven by Thar’s 2.2-litre diesel and 2.0-liter petrol engines, albeit in a higher state of tune. It will come mated with 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions, with rear-wheel and four-wheel drivetrain options.

New Mahindra Scorpio 2022 launch date

Mahindra is expected to launch the new Scorpio in early 2022. Expect it to be priced between Rs 12.6 lakh to Rs 19 lakh (ex-showroom). While the Scorpio doesn’t have any direct competitor in the Indian market, it can be seen as a rugged alternative to the compact and mid-sized SUVs like Hyundai Creta, Renault Duster, Nissan Kicks, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Tata Harrier, and MG Hector.
