2021 Hero Maestro Edge 125 Launched With Hero-Connect Features

Soon after introducing the Glamour Xtrec, Hero MotoCorp has now launched the updated Maestro Edge scooter in the Indian market. It is available in three variants – Drum, Disc, and Connected – priced at Rs Rs 72,250, Rs 76,500, and Rs 79,750 (ex-showroom, Delhi), respectively.

2021 Hero Maestro Edge – What's New?

Hero's highly popular Maestro Edge has received a host of updates for 2021, including revised aesthetics and several first-in-segment features.

Starting with the design, the new Maestro Edge comes with a revised front facia, giving it a sharper look. It also receives segment-first LED projector headlamps and dual-tone stripe patterns on the body panel for added appeal. While the apron-integrated turn-indicators continue to use halogen bulbs, they now get a smoky effect.

Apart from this, the connected variant also gets two new prismatic colors – Prismatic Yellow and Prismatic Purple. Besides, the Disc variant is available in six colours – Candy Blazing Red, Panther Black. Pearl Silver White, Matt Techno Blue, Prismatic Yellow, and Prismatic Purple. The Drum variant is available in four colours – Candy Blazing Red, Panther Black, Pearl Silver White, and Matt Techno Blue.

The most significant updates for the new Maestro Edge 125 have come in the form of a fully digital instrument cluster that gets RTMI (Real-Time Mileage Indication), ECO indicator, low fuel indicator, and the most important ‘Hero Connect’ feature as a standard fitment. With this, you can pair your smartphone to the scooter via Bluetooth to access various functions like turn-by-turn navigation, incoming call alerts, and miss-call alerts on the go. Besides, the Hero Connect App also features find my parking, pairing with Passkey, theft alert, trip analysis, vehicle start alert, geo-fence alerts, vehicle tracking, riding behavior analysis, and scooter topple alert. 

2021 Hero Maestro Edge – Powertrain and Underpinnings 

The Hero Maestro Edge continues to be powered by the same 124.6cc BS6 compliant fuel-injected engine with XSens Technology, delivering a maximum power output of 9PS at 7,000RPM and a max torque of 10.4Nm at 5,500RPM. The underpinnings too remain unchanged.

In the 125cc segment, the Hero Maestro Edge rivals the likes of Honda Activa 125, TVS NTorq 125, Suzuki Access 125, and the recently updated Yamaha Fascino 125 FI Hybrid.
