BMW X1 Tech Edition: How it is different from other variants?

BMW X1 Tech Edition interior

As its name suggests, the X1 Tech Edition mainly gets additional techs and features over the other variants that notably includes a larger 10.25-inch high-resolution i-Drive infotainment system (instead of an 8.8-inch standard unit), a 205W 7-speaker Hi-Fi sound system, a heads-up display (HUD), and a wireless smartphone charger.

Besides, it also carries forward most of the features from the rest of the range such as LED headlamps, dual-zone climate control, a large panoramic sunroof, 6-colours ambient lighting, wireless Apple CarPlay, powered front seats with memory function, reclined rear seats with center armrest, and many more. Passenger safety is covered by six airbags, ABS with EBD, electric parking brake with auto hold, parking sensors, electronic stability control, Attentiveness Assistance, Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), etc.

The exterior design of the 20i Tech Edition is similar to the standard X1 save for the larger 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and bigger exhaust tips.

The X1 20i Tech Edition is available with two exterior shades: Alpine White and Phytonic Blue (metallic), whereas the interior comes with a leatherette Oyster Black upholstery.

BMW X1 Tech Edition: Powertrain

No changes have been made beneath the bonnet. The brand has provided the limited-edition with the ongoing 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine that makes 192PS of maximum power and 280Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT) that drives the front wheels of the SUV.
