2021 Range Rover Evoque Launched, Prices Start From Rs 64.12 Lakh

Launched in January 2020, Land Rover's second-generation Range Rover Evoque has received some small updates for 2021, including some new features and a more powerful diesel engine. It has been launched at a starting price of Rs 64.12 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Here's a look at the changes the new Range Rover Evoque has gained: –

– For the model year 2021, the Land Rover has offered the Evoque SUV with an uprated 2.0-liter 4-cylinder diesel engine that now generates 205PS of maximum power (25PS up from the previous model). However, at 430Nm, the torque output remains unchanged. Besides, it also retains the ongoing 2.0-liter 4-cylinder petrol engine that continues to produce 250PS and 365Nm. Both these mills come paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission that drives all four wheels.

– Design-wise, the updated Evoque remains unchanged. However, it got a new dual-tone Deep Garnet / Ebony interior color scheme.

– As for features, the 2021 Evoque gets Jaguar Land Rover’s latest Pivi Pro software for its 10-inch infotainment system that comes with Apple Carplay & Android Auto along with connected car technology, online navigation, and over-the-air (OTA) updates. The SUV also gets a wireless smartphone charger with a signal booster, a PM2.5 air filter for cabin air ionization, and a new 3D surround 360-degree camera instead of the rear-view camera. 

 – Speaking about the variants, the 2021 Range Rover Evoque will continue to be offered in two variants – S and R-Dynamic SE. But unlike the previous model, the petrol motor will now only be available with the R-Dynamic SE variant whereas the diesel mill will be restricted to the S trim. Its complete variant-wise price list will be updated soon.

– In the Indian market, the updated Evoque SUV continues to rival the likes of Mercedes-Benz GLC, Lexus NX, BMW X3 and X4, and the upcoming Audi Q5 facelift.
