Revolt RV400 Gets More Affordable

Revolt Motors has announced the reduced prices of its flagship RV 400 electric motorcycle following the revised Fame-II subsidy scheme. The bike now costs Rs 90,799 (ex-showroom) in Delhi, and Rs 1,06,999 (ex-showroom) in the rest of the cities, making it Rs 28,201 less expensive than earlier. However, the prices of RV 300 haven't been updated yet.

The bookings for the Revolt RV 400 were resumed yesterday through its official website for a token amount of Rs 3,999, and all the allotted units were sold out within 2 hours of going live. Prospective buyers who missed the deal can register themselves on Revolt's website for notification of the next phase of bookings. 

For those who aren't aware, the Revolt is currently present only in six cities across the country – Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Chennai, and Hyderabad. The brand is planning to expand its dealership and service network across 35 cities in India.

About Revolt RV 400

Launched in 2019, the Revolt RV 400 uses a 72V 3.24KWh lithium-ion portable battery pack, paired with a 3kW mid-drive electric motor, transmitting the power to the rear-wheel via a chain drive. It offers an ARAI-certified range of up to 150kms and a maximum speed of 85kmph. It takes about 4.5 hours to charge from 0-100% with a 15V AC charger. Underpinnings of the bike comprise upside-down forks at the front, a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear, and a pair of 240mm disc brakes to bring the bike to halt.

Some of the key features of the Revolt RV 400 includes: –

  • Digital instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity support via MyRevolt App.
  • Geo-fencing, onboard diagnosis, battery status, over-the-air updates
  • All-LED lighting system
  • Three riding modes – Eco, Normal, and Sport
  • Four artificial exhaust sounds
  • Combined Braking System (CBS)

As of now, the Revolt RV400 doesn’t have any direct competitors in the Indian market. But it will soon face competition from the upcoming Okinawa Oki100 e-bike.
