2021 Skoda Octavia Vs Hyundai Elantra – Price, Features & Specification Comparison

Skoda Auto India has recently launched the fourth-generation Octavia executive sedan at a starting price of Rs 25.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Being a generational update, the new Octavia gets revised looks, additional features, and a new petrol engine. All this has led to a hefty price premium over the previous generation model, making it the most expensive D-segment sedan one can buy now. Even its base-spec Style variant is approximately Rs 5 lakh more expensive than Hyundai Elantra's top-spec variant. So, is it worthy enough to pick the new Skoda Octavia over the Korean sedan? Let's find out.

The 2.0-litre turbocharged engine of the Octavia is the most powerful, torquiest and frugal of the lot; however, it only comes with an automatic transmission.  Meanwhile, the Elantra can be had with both manual and automatic options alongside a 1.5-litre diesel engine choice, which is good in generating 115PS and 250Nm. While the Czech sedan misses out on diesel motor, it could get a smaller 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine at a later stage.
