2021 Triumph Bonneville Bobber Launched In India

Just a week after launching the Street Scrambler 900 Sandstorm and Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen special editions, Triumph has now reintroduced the Bonneville Bobber in the Indian market at a starting price of Rs 11.75 lakh (ex-showroom), making it Rs 1.5 lakh more expensive than the previous model. However, it's priced exactly the same as the Bonneville Speedmaster cruiser motorcycle. 

2021 Triumph Bonneville Bobber – What's New? 

The 2021 Bonneville neo-retro gets some cosmetic as well as hardware updates. Starting with the hardware, the updated Bonneville comes with a new 16-inch 32-wire spoke front wheel with a 310mm twin-disc setup (coupled with Brembo 2-piston sliding axial calipers), instead of a skinny 19-inch front wheel with a single-disc brake. The 47mm Showa cartridge front forks are new for 2021 Bobber. However, no changes have been made to the rear wheel, suspension, and braking system. It continues to come with 150/80 R16 tires, mono-shock suspension, and a single disc of 255mm with a Nissin sliding axial caliper.

As for styling, it gets new LED headlamps with daytime running lamps, a new bezel around the instrument cluster, and blacked-out finishing on the engine, cam cover, and sprocket cover. Besides, it also gets a larger 12-liter fuel tank, instead of the 8-liter unit on the outgoing model. 

Last but not the least, the 2021 Bonneville Bobber gets the BS6-compliant 1200cc parallel-twin engine, mated to a 6-speed transmission with a slip-&-assist clutch. It produces maximum output of 78PS at 6,100rpm and 106Nm at 4000rpm. The brand claims that it has returned the engine for a smoother torque delivery with approximately 100Nm available from as early as 3,000rpm.  

2021 Triumph Bonneville Bobber – Features  

In terms of features, the Triumph Bonneville Bobber packs lots of premium equipment such as an LED lighting system, bar-end mirrors, floating single-seat, analog speedometer with LCD multi-functional display, switchable traction control, cruise control, ride-by-wire technology, immobilizer, dual-channel ABS, and two riding modes (rain and road).

2021 Triumph Bonneville Bobber – Color options & Pricing

The new Triumph Bonneville Bobber is offered in three color options – Jet Black (Rs 11.75 lakh), Cordovan Red (Rs 11.88 lakh), and Matt Storm Grey/Matt Ironstone (Rs 12.05 lakh). The British bikemaker is also offering as many as 77 custom accessories with the updated Bonneville Bobber so that owners can personalize it as per their own taste.

Competition

In the Indian market, the updated Triumph Bonneville Bobber is positioned against the Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight, which is also priced at Rs 11.75 lakh (ex-showroom).
