Volkswagen has started deliveries of 2021 T-Roc across India. The bookings of the SUV are already underway for a token amount of Rs 50,000. Priced at Rs 21.35 lakh (ex-showroom), the VW T-ROC continues to be available as Completely Built-Up Units (CBU). Thus, only a limited number of T-Roc SUVs will be sold in India.

The Volkswagen T-Roc is powered by the same 1.5-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine as the previous lot of the SUV. This engine comes paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT) and generates 150PS/250Nm. It also gets an idle start/stop with regenerative braking and Active Cylinder Technology (ACT), which improves fuel efficiency by shutting down two cylinders (depending on your driving condition). The same engine will also power the upcoming Volkswagen Taigun and Skoda Kushaq SUVs.
The T-Roc can sprint from standstill to 100kmph in just 8.4 seconds before clocking the top speed of 205kmph.

In terms of features, the Volkswagen T-Roc gets a full-LED lighting system, front fog lamp with cornering function, 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, driver side convex exterior mirror, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Carplay, fully digital instrument panel, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, keyless entry & drive system, drawers under front seats, paddle shifters, ambient lighting, heat-insulating windshield & windows, 6 airbags, ABS, anti-skid regulation, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), MSR (Motor Slip Regulation), TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System), lane-keep assist, front collision alert, tire pressure monitoring, front & rear parking sensors, and many more.
The German brand has offered the T-Roc in a total of five color choices- Curcuma Yellow, Indium Grey, Ravenna Blue, Energetic Orange, and Pure White.

In the Indian market, the VW T-Roc is positioned against the likes of Jeep Compass, Hyundai Tucson, and the higher variants of Tata Harrier.
