Being a sportier version of the standard Polo, the GTI trim features some aggressively styled design elements such as a sleeker front grille with ‘GTI’ badging in red color, a sportier front bumper with honeycomb air dams, Golf GTI-like honeycomb LED fog lamps, and a differently designed five-spoke alloy wheels. There is also a red-colored strip just above the light bar, which gives it a dynamic character.

While the interior of the Polo GTI is yet to be revealed, it is likely to get a new steering wheel with the 'GTI' badging along with red stitching & highlights around the cabin. Besides, the dashboard design should be similar to the standard model.

On the features front, it will retain all the features of top-spec standard Polo that mainly include an all-new matrix LED headlamp, a 9.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, dual-zone auto AC with touch-based controls, ambient lighting, keyless entry with push-button start, a wireless phone charger, multiple airbags, front & rear parking sensors, electronic stability control (ESC), adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance, and many more.

Under the hood, the new Polo GTI is expected to retain the 2.0-liter turbo-petrol engine (200PS/320Nm) as the existing model, mated to a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DSG). The brand could also retune the engine for more engine output.
