Nissan Magnite Becomes Pricier By Up To Rs 33,000

Prices of the Nissan Magnite have been hiked once again by upto Rs 33,000. It's the third time when this subcompact SUV has undergone price revision since its launch on 2nd December 2020. However, the first two price hikes were applied to the base and turbocharged variants respectively. The carmaker has cited a price increase of auto parts as the reason for this move.

Here’s the variant-wise revised price list of the Nissan Magnite SUV: –

  • As we can see in the tables above, the prices of naturally-aspirated (NA) petrol variants have been increased by up to Rs 33,000, which were available at introductory prices (except the base-spec XE) till the end of March 2021. With this, the Magnite now starts from Rs 5.59 lakh (ex-showroom).
  • The turbocharged variants, on the other hand, have witnessed a price jump of up to Rs 20,000. However, Nissan hasn’t revealed the prices of top-spec XV Premium (O) yet.
  • As you can sense from the above tables, the Magnite is a petrol-only offering and comes with two engine options: a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol (72PS/96Nm) and a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol (100PS/upto 160Nm) units. While the former comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox only, the latter can be had with either a 5-speed manual or CVT automatic transmission (CVT produces 152Nm of peak torque – 8Nm less than the manual).

  • The Nissan Magnite comes pretty well equipped and the price hike hasn't attracted any changes to its features list. It continues to get features like an LED headlamps with L-shaped LED DRLs, dual-tone alloy wheels, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, voice recognition technology, connected car tech, a 7.0-inch coloured TFT digital driver's display, auto climate control, rear AC vents, a 360-degree camera, keyless entry with push-button start, cruise control, tyre pressure-monitoring system, wireless mobile charger (optional), air purifier (optional), and much more.
  • The Nissan Magnite is positioned in the highly competitive sub-4-meter SUV segment where it fights against the likes of Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Vitara Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, Toyota Urban Cruiser, Ford EcoSport, Tata Nexon, and Renault Kiger.
