Detel Easy Plus Electric Moped Launched In India, Priced At Rs 39,999

DETEL, a subsidiary of Haryana-based SG Corporate Mobility Pvt Ltd, has launched a new electric moped, the Easy Plus – at the Ride Asia Expo in Delhi. The Detel Easy Plus is intended for short city commutes and is priced at Rs 39,999 (excluding GST). Pre-bookings of the e-moped have also commenced on the brand's website for a token amount of Rs 1,999.

The Detel Easy Plus comes with a 20Ah lithium-ion battery that powers a 250W hub-mounted BLDC electric motor, which is proficient enough of thrusting it to a top speed of 25kmph. Using a 5-ampere charger, the battery takes approximately 3-4 hours for a full charge and can deliver a range of 60km/charge. Detel offers its battery with a 2 Years / 40,000 km standard warranty, whereas the vehicle only gets a 1-year warranty. Interestingly, it will also get a prepaid roadside assistant package (included in the price of the scooter). Further, the brand will also provide after-sales service at the owner's place across the country. 

Talking about the design, the Easy Plus is a cute-looking barebone mini moped that has only two body panels. It comes with a single-piece seat for rider and pillion, and offers a maximum load-carrying capacity of 170 Kg.

In terms of features, it comes equipped with an all-LED lighting system, a digital meter, and a pair of pedals that letting you pedal it to your place when you run out of charge.

The underpinning of the electric moped comprises an exposed underbone chassis, a telescopic fork at the front, and a motorcycle-Esque swingarm with a twin shock absorber at the rear. It rides on 16-inch wheels that come wrapped in tubeless tires and the braking is done via drum brakes at both ends. 

The Detel Easy Plus is available in five colors: Metallic Red, Pearl White, Gunmetal, Metallic Black, and Metallic Yellow.
