This Could Be The New Sub-300CC Harley Davidson Roadster

With Harley's rewire plan, it was believed that its small bike project will be axed. But recently leaked images and some documents reveal that Harley-Davidson is still working on a V-twin-powered sub-300cc entry-level offering that is designed especially for emerging markets like China, and Southeast Asia. However, this image is of Qianjiang SRV300, which could be Harley’s upcoming 300cc roadster. For the people not in know, Harley Davidson had partnered with China’s Qianjiang Motors (QJMotors) back in 2019 to work on this project.

The new motorcycle is expected to be based on the Benelli 302S platform. In terms of design, the motorcycle features a typical Harley Davidson styling with some traditional design elements. Revealed by the leaked documents, the SRV300 will be powered by a 296cc liquid-cooled V-twin motor that's good enough in producing 30.7PS of maximum power. It is claimed to reach a top speed of 128kmph and the curb weight of the motorcycle stands at 163kg.

The document also exposes that the motorcycle will underpin an inverted front fork, and twin rear shock absorbers. Sitting on 16-and 15-inches of alloys at the front & rear respectively, the braking duties will be taken care of by disc brake at both ends with a dual-channel Antilock Braking System (ABS).

The motorcycle also features a teardrop-shaped fuel tank and a round headlamp. It has a typical low stance and forward-set footpegs for a relaxed riding experience.

Will Harley launch this motorcycle in India?

As of now, Hero MotoCorp takes up the sales and service network of the American brand in our country, and it is yet to make announcements for new launches. However, we don't believe Harley's upcoming sub-300cc cruiser making it to our shore anytime soon.
