2021 Skoda Superb To Get New Features, Launch Soon

After receiving a facelift update last year, the Skoda Superb is ready to get another reform soon. However, this time the changes will be related to features only rather than being centric on cosmetics.

2021 Skoda Superb – What will be the changes?

Revealed by the leaked images, the 2021 Skoda Superb will get a host of new features such as a C-type USB charging port, wireless charging pad, revised interface for the 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with built-in navigation (without an SD card), wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay smartphone connectivity, a 360-degree camera, an updated virtual cockpit, and hands-free parking. The L&K variants will also get a new 2-spoke steering wheel, whereas the Sportline variant will feature new 3-spoke steering.

Apart from these add-ons, the 2021 Superb saloon will continue to get all the features of its existing model. Highlights include matrix LED headlamps, LED fog lamps with cornering function, LED taillamps, three-zone climate control with rear AC vents, 12-way power-adjustable front seats with ventilation function, tire-pressure monitoring system (TPMS), panoramic sunroof, cruise control, 8-airbags, front & rear parking sensors, electronic stability control (ESC), hill brake assist, and hill hold control, etc.

Powertrain

Mechanically, this Toyota Camry rivalry won't receive any changes. It will retain its 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that generates 190PS of power and 320Nm of maximum torque. The engine comes paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT).

At present, the Skoda Superb has priced between Rs 30.50 lakh to Rs 33 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The Czech maker has recently hiked the prices of its offerings by up to 2.5%. This update is intended at keeping the car’s value-for-money quotient.
