The 220i M Sport is a feature-rich offering. Its notable equipment includes an all-LED lighting system, automatic headlamps, panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control with rear AC vents, digital instrument cluster, a 10.25-inch touchscreen with BMW’s iDrive infotainment system, Gesture Control for the infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless mobile charging pad, ambient lighting, cruise control, paddle shifters, rain-sensing wipers, powered front seats, etc. It also gets three driving modes: ECO PRO, Comfort, and Sport.

The safety quotient is taken care of by 6 airbags, ABS with brake assist, traction control, dynamic stability control, cornering brake control, electric parking brake with auto hold, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, parking sensors, and a rear-view camera, etc.

BMW 220i M Sport – Engine

The 2 Series Gran Coupé 220i M Sport variant is powered by a 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine churning out 190PS of maximum power and 280Nm of peak torque. The engine comes paired with an 8-speed torque converter automatic transmission, which transfers the power to the front wheels.

BMW 220i M Sport – Acceleration, Top Speed & Mileage

BMW claims the petrol-powered 2 Series can sprint from 0 to 100kmph in just 7.1 seconds (0.4 seconds faster than its diesel counterpart). Its top speed is 240kmph. As far as the mileage is concerned, the 220i M Sport has a claimed fuel efficiency figure of 14.82kmpl.

Rivals

Currently, this entry-level BMW sedan doesn't have any direct rival in India. But it will soon face the rivalry from the upcoming Audi A3 sedan and Mercedes-Benz A-Class Limousine.
