2021 Jeep Compass Facelift Teased Ahead Of Global Unveil

Jeep is all set to launch the facelift version of the Compass SUV. Soon the brand will unveil the updated Jeep Compass in China at the Guangzhou International Motor Show. But before that the American maker has previewed the facelifted version, revealing a few details about its front facia & interior.

The teaser images revealed that the 2021 Jeep Compass facelift will get a redesigned front bumper with new cuts & ridges and a large air dam, housing LED fog lamps at both ends. It will also get sleeker headlamps and a slightly tweaked grille with honeycomb-like inserts.  All these changes are quite subtle, but they positively give the Compass a refreshing look.

Inside, the facelifted model will house a 10.1-inch floating Uconnect 5 infotainment system, newly designed AC vents, and a leathered wrapped dashboard with double stitching. Additionally, we expect the new model will also feature a new steering wheel and better upholstery than its predecessor.

Jeep hasn't revealed more details about the interior layout and side & rear profile of the car. However, we expect the new Compass to feature new alloy wheels and a slightly tweaked rear bumper. Also, it is likely to be more features loaded than before and could get level-2 autonomous technology that includes features such as active blind spot detection, highway assist, traffic jam assists, traffic sign recognition, lane keep assist, and driver attention alert.

Powertrain

Jeep might offer the 2021 Compass with a new 1.3-liter turbo-petrol engine that churns out 180PS. This engine would replace the ongoing 1.4-liter turbo-petrol engine. However, the Indian-spec facelifted Compass is likely to be powered by the same engines as the outgoing model, which includes the above mentioned 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol and a 2.0-liter diesel engine
