A few months ago, Nissan had previewed its upcoming sub-4m SUV, Magnite, in concept avatar. Now the Japanese makers have announced that it will reveal the production version of the SUV on 21st October ahead of its launch.
The brand has also shared some of its images, being tested at Nissan’s hallowed Tochigi plant. Though the testing vehicle was partially camouflage covered, it reveals a lot of design attributes of the production form of Nissan Magnite. It looks quite similar to its concept model. At the front, It features a Datsun-styled octagonal grille with sharp angular headlights, and a sculpted hood similar to the concept model.
The side profile of the Maggnite looks bold and muscular thanks to the upright stance, flared wheel arches, strong shoulder lines, and heavy cladding. The test mule was painted in a dual-tone red-black scheme, featuring contrast silver roof rails. The rear sports a split LED tail lamps setup, a roof-mounted spoiler, and faux skid plates on the bumper.

Both engines are expected to be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox whereas the turbo-petrol engine is likely to get the option of a CVT automatic transmission as well.
