It permits you to pair your smartphone to the instrument cluster via Bluetooth using the dedicated Suzuki Ride Connect mobile application and allows the use of navigation on the go. It shows turn-by-turn navigation feeds on the display along with Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA), calls/SMS/WhatsApp alerts, phone battery level indication, and overspeeding warning (user-defined). It also gets features like trip sharing and last parked location to find your parked scooter and share your ride with family and friends.

The new Suzuki Ride Connect variants of Suzuki Access 125 also get an LED DRL (Daytime running lamps) and two new color options – Metallic Royal Bronze and Matte Blue to distinguish them from the regular variants.

Will existing Burgman Street customers get a system upgrade?

Since the Burgman Street maxi-scooter was already having a digital LCD, hence its existing customers could expect a system upgrade so that they also can use the connectivity features. But the makers haven't shared any information regarding this and we believe that there will be no way of retrofitting Ride Connect for existing customers.

Author's Take

These smartphone connectivity features are a delightful addition for both the scooters and will help them strive more strongly in their respective segments. We expect from Suzuki two-wheelers to introduce these features in Gixxer ranges as well.

The brand is also working on an exclusive chain of dealerships, particularly for premium motorcycles. Therefore, we could expect more premium products to be launched soon. The Suzuki V-Strome 650XT BS6 could be the first one.
