Prices Of 4th gen Honda City Declined By up to Rs 66,000

Honda Cars India has rejigged the variant line-up of 4th generation City sedan. The older version of Honda City will be offered in two variants only- SV and V. Their prices are as follows:-

Honda city price

4th-gen Honda City Variant New price Old price Difference
SV Rs 9.30 lakh Rs 9.91 lakh Rs 61,000
V Rs 10.00 lakh Rs 10.66 lakh Rs 66,000

*All prices are (ex-showroom, Delhi)

The prices of the 4th gen City have been slashed by Rs 61,000 and Rs 66,000 for the SV and V variant respectively. Hence, the new prices now range between Rs 9.30-10.00 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). With this, its price range settles at Rs 90,000 lower than the 5th-gen City’s starting price of Rs 10.90 lakh that goes to Rs 14.65 lakh for the top-sped diesel variant.

With this reduced pricing, customers won't face any differences to the features list and to its mechanicals corresponding to the available variants. It will continue to be powered by 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine that churns out 119PS of maximum power and 145Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission only. You won't get CVT automatic and diesel option with older version of City sedan anymore. For this, you have to opt for 5th-gen City which is available with both petrol (manual/CVT) and diesel (MT) motors.

However, with the discontinuation of VX and ZX variants, the old City now lacks features like electric sunroof, LED headlamps and multiple airbags, etc.
