2026 Tata Harrier and Safari Updated With Petrol Engines and New Features

Tata Motors has updated the Harrier and Safari SUVs for 2026, offering them with the brand’s new 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a host of new variants. The company has also introduced two new variants to their respective lineup – Fearless Ultra and Accomplished Ultra, prices of which are yet to be announced. Both of these variants also get a special Red Dark Edition.

2026 Tata Harrier and Safari – What’s New?

New Petrol Engine

Both the Harrier and Safari now get a new gasoline mill that will be offered alongside their existing 2-litre turbocharged diesel engine (170PS/350Nm). This is the same 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, direct-injection turbocharged engine that recently made its debut with the Sierra. However, it has been tuned differently to extract 10PS of additional power and 27Nm of more torque.

Tata has also offered the Harrier and Safari petrol with both manual and automatic gearbox options, while the Sierra turbo-petrol only comes with an automatic transmission.
