2026 Skoda Kushaq Facelift Spied Testing With Fresh Styling Elements

The Skoda Kushaq has been on sale since 2021 and is now set to receive a mid-life facelift update by 2026. Recently, the updated SUV was spotted testing on Indian roads, revealing new design changes and refreshed styling elements. Here’s what the 2026 Skoda Kushaq is expected to offer: –

2026 Skoda Kushaq Facelift: Key Changes Spotted

Though the testing mule was heavily camouflaged, the Kushaq facelift was seen sporting a refreshed pair of split headlamps setup. This time, it will get dynamic LED turn indicators, replacing the current halogen units.

The side profile of the facelifted Kushaq remains unchanged, featuring the same blacked-out alloy wheels seen on the Sportline variant of the current model. It also retains the silver roof rails and chrome-finished door handles from the existing model.

Similar to the front, the rear design also looks familiar, highlighted by wrap-around tail lamps with dynamic swiping LED turn indicators. Both the front and rear bumpers are also likely to get a comprehensive redesign, though both parts are well covered under camouflage on the test mule.

Interior Design and New Features

Although the interiors weren’t visible, Skoda is expected to give the dashboard and seats a major design overhaul to make the cabin look modern and address the current issue of limited underthigh support, especially at the rear.

As for features, the 2025 Kushaq is expected to get a panoramic sunroof, a premium sound system, a 360-degree camera and probably an ADAS suite. Besides, it is expected to retain the existing set of comfort & convenience features, including automatic LED projector headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an 8-inch digital driver’s display, wireless charger, and much more.

For safety, the SUV gets six airbags, ABS with EBD, a tyre pressure monitoring system, rear parking sensors with a reversing camera, hill-hold assist, and ISOFIX child seat anchors.

2026 Skoda Kushaq Facelift: Powertrain Choices

The Kushaq facelift will retain the existing 1-litre turbo (115PS/178Nm) and 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol (150PS/250Nm) engine options. While the former mill gets a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox, the latter only comes with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Irrespective of the engine option, a front-wheel drivetrain is standard across the lineup.

Expected Price and Rivals

The 2026 facelifted Kushaq will command a significant premium over the current model, which retails between Rs 10.99 lakh and Rs 19.09 lakh (ex-showroom). Upon launch, it will continue to rival the likes of Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Toyota Hyryder, Maruti Grand Vitara, Honda Elevate, MG Astor and Volkswagen Taigun.
