Jeep India has finally added the much-needed sliding function for the middle row seats in the Meridian, enhancing the overall practicality. The brand has also increased the prices of the SUV by up to Rs 1.27 lakh.

2026 Jeep Meridian – What’s New?
The update brings a major practical addition to the Meridian by offering a sliding function on the Limited and Overland variants of the SUV. This not only enhances comfort & convenience, but also gives flexibility to balance legroom between the 2nd and 3rd row seats. It will also help in easier ingress and egress for 3rd-row occupants.

Other Features Onboard
Aside from the above mentioned addition, the 2026 Jeep Meridian remains unchanged. It continues to get amenities like a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment with connected car tech, a 9-speaker Alpine sound system, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, a wireless smartphone charger, 8-way powered front seats with a ventilation function, a memory function for the driver’s seat, a panoramic sunroof, a powered tailgate, rain-sensing wipers and a 360-degree camera.
For occupants’ safety, the SUV gets six airbags, ABS, traction control, electronic stability control, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), hill assist control, and a level-2 ADAS suite.

Powertrain Option
The Jeep Meridian is powered by a 2-litre turbocharged diesel engine (170PS/350Nm), paired with a 6-speed manual and 9-speed torque converter automatic transmission. It comes in both front-wheel and all-wheel drivetrain configurations.
Competition Check
The Meridian can be seen as an affordable alternative to the Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster and petrol-powered Skoda Kodiaq.
