Kia India has recently unveiled the new Carens Clavis, with its prices set to be announced on May 23. While Kia has already revealed its variant-wise features, now the Korean carmaker has revealed its fuel efficiency (mileage) figures.
Kia Carens Clavis – Engine Specifications and Mileage
For those unaware, the Kia Carens Clavis is the facelift version of the Carens, which continues to get the same engine options as the pre-facelift model. It includes a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel mill. Here’s a look at their specifications and mileage details: –
Engine | 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol | 1.5-litre turbo-petrol | 1.5-litre diesel |
Power | 115 PS | 160 PS | 116 PS |
Torque | 144 Nm | 253 Nm | 250 Nm |
Transmission | 6-speed Manual | 6-speed Manual, 6-speed iMT, 7-speed DCT | 6-speed Manual, 6-speed torque converter automatic |
Claimed Fuel Efficiency (Mileage) | 15.34 kmpl | 15.95 kmpl (manual/iMT) 16.66 kmpl (DCT) | 19.54 kmpl (manual) 17.50 kmpl (auto) |
As the above table indicates, the diesel-manual combination of the Carens Clavis is the most fuel efficient, whereas the naturally aspirated petrol engine offers the least mileage. The fuel efficiency of the manual and iMT versions of the turbocharged engine is also on par with the NA mill.
