2025 Honda Dio Launched At Rs 96,749

Honda Motorcycles and Scooters has upgraded the Dio scooter for 2025, with new features, revised engine tuning and refreshed colour options. It is priced at Rs 96,749 for the STD and Rs 1,02,144 for the H-Smart variant, commanding a premium of up to Rs 8,798 over the outgoing model.

2025 Honda Dio 125 – What’s New?

  • To start with, Honda has made the Dio’s 123.92cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine OBD-2B compliant, making it cleaner, greener and smarter.
  • The Japanese 2-wheeler manufacturer has also revised its tuning to produce 8.3PS of max power and 10.5Nm of peak torque, making it .02PS/0.1Nm more powerful.
  • Regarding features, the 2025 Honda Dio now gets a 4.2-inch TFT instrument cluster with navigation assist and call/SMS alerts. It also displays information like trip details, mileage, Eco mode and distance-to-empty. It also features a Type-C USB charging port and a keyless start/stop system via smart key in the range-topping variant.
  • The updated sporty scooter now also features refreshed graphics and five revised colour options: Mat Marvel Blue Metallic, Pearl Deep Ground Grey, Pearl Sports Yellow, Pearl Igneous Black, and Imperial Red. Earlier, it was available in a total of eight body shades.

Aside from the above-mentioned changes, the Honda Dio remains unchanged. It features the same aggressive and youthful design, with sharp, edgy lines and an aerodynamic front apron for added visual appeal. Its signature LED position lamps, split grab rail, stylised headlamp unit on the front apron, and sleek tail lamps with sporty muffler further enhance its road presence.

In the 125cc scooter segment, the Honda Dio locks horns with the Suzuki Avenis 125, Yamaha RayZR 125, Hero Xoom 125 and TVS NTorq.

Author’s Take

While the 2025 Honda Dio 125 gets a handful of tech and engine updates, the price hike of up to Rs 8,798 feels a bit steep for what’s essentially the same scooter underneath.
