2023 Kawasaki Z H2 & Z H2 SE Launched In India

Kawasaki has launched the updated version of its supercharged streetfighters, the Z H2 and Z H2 SE, for 2023. While the former retails at a whopping Rs 23,02,000, the latter costs Rs 27,22,000 (both prices ex-showroom), commanding a premium of Rs 30,000 over their outgoing models.

For 2023, the Kawasaki Z H2 and Z H2 SE receive a new colourway called ‘Metallic matte graphene steel Gray’. Everything else remains the same. Both flagship street bikes continue to don the muscular naked styling with aggressively styled dual LED headlight setup.

In terms of features, the Kawasaki Z H2 packs a 6-axis IMU-assisted electronic rider aids, including traction control, cornering Antilock Braking System (ABS), launch control, three ride modes (Sport, Road, Rain), power modes (Full/Middle/Low), cruise control and a bi-directional quick-shifter. The bikes also get a 4.3” full-colour TFT display with smartphone connectivity.

Underpinned on a Trellis frame, the top-spec Kawasaki Z H2 SE also benefits from the electronically adjustable Skyhook Showa USD fork (a semi-active electronic suspension system) and adjustable gas-charged monoshock suspension setup. Anchoring duties are taken care of by dual 320mm discs with Brembo M4.32 front brake callipers for Z H2 and more premium Brembo Stylema callipers on the Z H2 SE. 

At the heart of these monsters is a 998cc liquid-cooled inline-four cylinder engine, churning out 200PS of max power and 137Nm of peak twisting force. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with an assist & slipper clutch.

In the Indian market, the Kawasaki Z H2 rivals the likes of the Triumph Speed Triple 1200, BMW S 1000 R, and the Ducati Streetfighter V4.
