2023 Hyundai Verna To Get Connected Displays, Interior Teased

• The latest teaser of the 2023 Hyundai Verna showcases its twin display setup.
• Its 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine will get three driving modes.
• It could also get ADAS features, including automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, blind-spot detection and adaptive cruise control.

Hyundai has released a new teaser of the next-gen Verna, featuring a floating twin display setup accommodating a large touchscreen infotainment system and a digital instrument panel. The teaser also confirms the presence of three driving modes with its new 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine, namely Eco, Normal and Sport – which should alter the throttle and steering response, accordingly.

The upgraded sedan is also expected to get dual-zone climate control, a branded sound system, more advanced connected car technology, and a 360-degree camera. In fact, it could be the first to offer ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) in its class. This could include active safety features, such as forward-collision warning, auto emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, high beam assist, lane-keep assist, blind-spot detection and much more.

The 2023 Hyundai Verna will be based on the brand’s ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ design philosophy and will be bigger than the ongoing model.

Hyundai will offer the next-gen Verna with two petrol engine options: a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated and a 1.5-litre turbocharged unit. Both engines will be offered with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard, along with the options of a CVT gearbox for the naturally aspirated unit and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT) with the turbo-powered mill.

Hyundai will launch the next-gen Verna on March 21, and its bookings have already been commenced for a token amount of Rs 25,000. Expect the new Hyundai Verna to be priced between Rs 11 lakh to Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom), rivalling the Honda City, Volkswagen Virtus, Skoda Slavia and Maruti Suzuki Ciaz.
