Engine and Gearbox

Powering the facelifted Honda City 2023 will be the same 1.5-litre petrol engine as before, which makes 121PS of maximum power and 145Nm of peak torque. It will be offered with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission.

Honda also offers the City with a 1.5-litre strong-hybrid powertrain mated to an e-CVT, which produces a combined output of 126PS/253Nm. Both of these engines will be updated to comply with phase II of the BS6 emission regulations and will operate on E20 (20 per cent ethanol-blend petrol).

The diesel engine will no longer be available for sale.

Variant Options

Bookings for the 2023 Honda City are already underway. The brand will offer it in four variants, including a new base-variant SV. The hybrid iteration of the sedan will also receive a new entry-level V variant. Click here more details.
