2023 Honda CB200X Launched With Assist and Slipper Clutch

The 2023 Honda CB200X has been launched in India at Rs 1,46,999 (ex-showroom), making it Rs 2499 more expensive than its predecessor.

2023 Honda CB200X – What’s New?

Powering the 2023 CB200X is the same 184.40cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine now being compliant with the BS6 phase-2 and OBD-2 norms. While it still generates 17.26PS and 15.9Nm, it receives an assist and slipper clutch that eases the clutch operations and prevents the rear wheel from locking up during aggressive downshifting and hard braking.

The rest of the bike remains unchanged.

The Honda CB200X continue to share its underpinnings with the Hornet 2.0. The bike uses the same gold-finished front USD fork and preload-adjustable rear monoshock with the same amount of travel. Even the 17-inch alloy wheels shod with 110/70-17 front and 140/70-17 rear dual-purpose tires have been carried over.

For braking, it still gets 276mm front and 220mm rear petal disc, assisted by a single-channel Antilock Braking System (ABS).

Features-wise, the CB200X adventure gets a fully digital LCD instrument cluster, muscular front fairing with large fuel tank extensions, a tinted windscreen, wider handlebars with knuckle guard-mounted LED indicators, and an engine bash plate. Unfortunately, it still misses the Bluetooth connectivity support and USB charging port.

In the entry-level ADV segment, the Honda CB200X rivals the Hero XPulse 200 4V, which is priced between Rs 1.45 – 1.52 lakh (ex-showroom). The XPulse offers more power, long-travel suspension, and additional comfort & safety features over the CB200X.
