2023 MG Hector and Hector Plus Facelift – Price List

Compared to its predecessor, the facelifted MG Hector has received a new and bigger front grille, embellished with chrome diamond-mesh design, providing it a more assertive and premium appearance. The split headlamp setup has been carried forward from its pre-facelift version; however, it has now received a gloss-black finish. The side profile of the SUV remains unchanged.

At the rear, the facelifted Hector now receives new connected LED tail lamps, a slightly tweaked tailgate design and redone bumper with faux exhausts at each end. There’s also the HECTOR badging at the lower section of the tailgate.

MG has also offered the facelifted Hector in a new Dune Brown colour scheme.

Interior and Features

Changes are more significant inside the cabin. Having said that, the SUV receives an all-new cabin layout wrapped in a dual-tone black and off-white theme. However, the main highlight is its new portrait-styled 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system that now supports wireless integration for Android Auto and Apple Carplay. The other notable additions include: –

  • A new digitised driver’s display
  • More advanced connected car technology
  • Level-2 ADAS suite that includes active safety features like adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, auto beam assist, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, traffic jam assists, and more.

Powertrain

No mechanical changes have been made to the facelifted Hector. It continues with its 1.5-litre turbo-petrol (with an optional mild-hybrid system), and 2-litre diesel engines. All power mills get the 6-speed manual transmission as standard. The non-hybrid petrol mill can also be had with the CVT automatic unit.

Rivals

The MG Hector and Hector Plus continue to rival the likes of Tata Harrier/Safari, Mahindra XUV700, and Hyundai Creta/Alcazar.
