2023 BMW M2 Launched In India At Rs 98 Lakh

The 2023 second-gen BMW M2 performance sports coupe has finally been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 98 lakh (ex-showroom). Being a CBU model, it will be offered in limited numbers.

Here’s all you need to know about the BMW M2: –

Design

  • The BMW M2 is a 2-door, 4-seater performance sports car that portrays an aggressive design.
  • It gets frameless horizontal kidney grilles flanked by adaptive LED headlights.
  • There’s also the sportily designed bumper with huge air ducts, aerodynamic lines, a sculpted body, and a functional rear spoiler that absolutely complements its performance-oriented nature.
  • Against the measuring tape, it is 4,575mm long, which makes it 114mm longer than its predecessor.
  • BMW has offered the M2 in five body shade options – Alpine White, Brooklyn Grey, Black Sapphire, Toronto Red and Zandvoort Blue.

Performance

  • Beneath the bonnet, the new-gen BMW M2 houses a mighty 3.0-litre straight-six engine that churns out 460hp and 550Nm and propels the rear wheels of the car via either a manual or an automatic transmission.
  • BMW claims that the 2023 M2 can complete the century run in merely 4.1 seconds (0.2 seconds more with the manual gearbox), before hitting an electronically limited top speed of 250 kmph.
  • It gets four drive modes – Efficient, Comfort, Sport and Sport Plus.

Competitors

In the Indian market, the 2023 BMW M2 faces competition from the Porsche 718 Cayman GTS (Rs 1.64 crore).
