Mahindra Thar Now Dearer By Up To Rs 51,000

  • Both petrol and diesel variants are impacted by the price hike move.
  • Thar’s top-spec LX automatic convertible and AX (O) convertible variants get the maximum price hike.
  • The petrol AX (O) manual trim has gained the least hike.
  • Mahindra now retails the Thar from Rs 13.53 lakh to Rs 16.03 lakh (ex-showroom).

Mahindra & Mahindra has once again revised the prices of the Thar off-roader, and this time it is nearly by up to fifty thousand rupees. Here’s a look at the variant-wise new prices of Mahindra Thar: –

As the above table indicates, the prices of Mahindra Thar’s LX AT Convertible (diesel) and AX (O) Convertible (diesel) received the highest price hike of Rs 51,000, whereas the prices of LX MT Convertible (diesel) and LX AT Hard Top (diesel) gone up by Rs 49,000. On the other hand, the AX (O) Hard Top (petrol) trim was the least affected by the price hike move.

With this latest round of price revision, the Mahindra Thar now retails between Rs 13.53 lakh to Rs 16.03 lakh (ex-showroom). In the Indian market, it competes with the Force Gurkha and the upcoming Maruti Suzuki Jimny. The brand is expected to introduce its 5-seater version in the near future.
