2022 Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX Launched At Rs 11,40,000

Kawasaki India has launched the 2022 Ninja 1000SX in India. Priced at Rs 11.40 lakh (ex-showroom India), the Ninja 1000SX costs similar to its previous iteration after its hike in July 2021. Bookings for the fresh model have begun across the country, with deliveries to commence from December 2021.

2022 Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX

The 2022 Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX is available in two colours – Emerald Blazed Green and Metallic Matte Graphene Steel Grey. Design and features-wise, Kawasaki has left the motorcycle unaltered. That said, you still get the same brawny aesthetics with all functions and features that are required in a litre class sports machine. These include an LED illumination system, a large 4.3-inch colour TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, electronic throttle valves, cruise control, multiple riding modes (Sport/ Road/ Rain/ Rider (Manual)), three-mode traction control, two power modes (full/low), Cornering Management Function, Kawasaki Intelligent anti-lock Brake System (KIBS), and quick shifter, etc.

The underpinning of the bike also remains unchanged. It continues to be based on a steel trellis frame, sprung on a fully adjustable 41mm upside-down fork and a monoshock that’s adjustable for preload and rebound damping. The bike rides on 17-inch alloys with Bridgestone’s Battlax Hypersport S22 radial tyres. Braking is ensured via dual 300mm front discs with radially-mounted callipers and a 250mm rear disc with dual-channel Antilock Braking System (ABS).

Powering the 2022 Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX is the same 1,043cc, inline 4-cylinder engine that belts out 140PS at 10,000 rpm and 111Nm at 8,000 rpm and comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slip & assist clutch and a bi-directional quick-shifter.

The Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX primarily goes against the Ducati SuperSport 950, which is priced at Rs 13.49 – 15.69 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
