The 2022 Hyundai Venue facelift has been spied testing once again in South Korea, this time revealing the overhauled front and rear profile.

Going by the latest spy images, the updated Venue features Hyundai’s latest grille design, flanked by the split headlamp setup as the ongoing model. However, the front bumper and alloy wheels seem to be redesigned. There were significant changes spotted at the rear in the form of a new LED tail lamp setup connected by a LED strip and refreshed rear bumper with new reflectors and faux skid plate.

We’re yet to get a look inside the cabin, but we expect it to undergo some significant changes that could include a revised upholstery, a larger touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto integration support, digital driver’s display, and ventilated front seats. Besides, features such as single-pane electric sunroof, cruise control, wireless smartphone charger, keyless entry with push-button start, tire pressure monitoring system, and up to six airbags, etc. will be retained from the ongoing model.

The India-bound facelifted Hyundai Venue is likely to continue with the current powertrain options: 83PS 1.2-litre petrol, 100PS 1.5-litre diesel, and 120PS 1.0-litre turbo-petrol. While all engines get a manual transmission as standard, a 7-speed DCT automatic and 6-speed iMT are restricted to the turbocharged petrol mill only. However, this time, Hyundai could offer the oil burner with a 6-speed torque converter automatic unit as the Kia Sonet. Besides, a sportier N-Line variant could also be on the cards.

Expect the 2022 Hyundai Venue to go on sale by the end of the year. With the launch, the Venue will become a more prominent contender against the likes of the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Maruti Vitara Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, and Toyota Urban Cruiser.
