India's best-selling Hyundai Creta compact-sized SUV is all set to receive a mid-life update. Recently, the test-mule of 2022 Hyundai Creta facelift has been spotted on foreign soil. Although the SUV was heavily covered, it exposed sufficient bits to confirm its identity.

2022 Hyundai Creta Facelift – What do the spy shots reveal?
The spy shots revealed that the 2022 Creta will receive significant changes upfront. It is likely to get a new parametric grille, revised headlamp, and updated bumper design, based on Hyundai's latest Sensous Sportiness design language, which made its global debut with the fourth-generation Hyundai Tucson and Santa Cruz pickup truck. For those who aren't aware, the front grille of these utility vehicles consists of a jewel-like patterned grille that features Hyundai's latest 'Parametric Hidden Lights' design. These daytime running lamps look like a part of the grille and are unnoticeable when they are not in operation.
The side profile of the updated Creta seems unchanged. However, the rear may get subtle design changes to suit the front design.
While the interior of the new Creta is still under wraps, it could get minor cosmetic changes and some new features. It is expected to get level-1 ADAS features like adaptive cruise control, blind-spot detection systems, lane departure warning systems, collision warning systems, and more.

2022 Hyundai Creta Facelift – Powertrain
The facelifted Hyundai Creta SUV unlike to get any mechanical changes. It will continue to be offered with a set of 1.5-litre petrol and diesel engines along with a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol unit. However, speculations are being made that it could get a mild-hybrid tech.

2022 Hyundai Creta Facelift – Expected Launch
The current-generation Creta was launched in 2020 in India. So, we don't expect its facelift model to come anytime soon. However, it could make its debut by the next year in China, and later, it will enter other markets. As for now, Hyundai India will launch the three-row Alcazar SUV by the next month. In addition, the brand is also planning to bring an all-new AX1 micro-SUV to our shore, which will be positioned against the Tata HBX.
