Honda Motorcycle and Scooter has launched the 2022 version of the Honda Gold Wing Tour in India at Rs 39.29 lakh (ex-showroom), making it Rs 4,000 more expensive than the previous model. This fully-imported flagship tourer now is only available with dual-clutch (DCT) automatic transmission. The manual transmission option has been axed now.
2022 Honda Gold Wing – What’s New?
For 2022, the Honda Gold Wing has received a new pillion seat for improved comfort, along with fresh material for the upholstery. Also, it now only comes wrapped in Gunmetal black metallic colour with a blacked-out engine and wheels.
Engine and Transmission
The Honda Gold Wing is powered by a 1833cc, 24-valve, liquid-cooled, horizontally-opposed flat six-cylinder petrol engine that belts out 126.44PS of max power at 5,500rpm and a peak torque of 170Nm at 4,500rpm. It comes paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox with “Walking Mode” (lets riders creep it forward under power at a walking pace) and reverses functionality. The Gold Wing comes with 4 riding modes- Econ, Rain, Sport, and Tour.

For its suspension kit, the Gold Wing gets Honda’s Double wishbone suspension for the front which is designed for the rider and engine to be closer to the front wheel, owing to much better handling. Towards the back, it gets a Pro Arm single-side swingarm with an electronically adjustable Pro-Link single shock suspension setup. Shedding speed on the new Honda Gold Wing is a pair of 320mm front discs with 6-piston calipers and a 316mm disc at the rear paired with three-piston calipers, assisted by a dual-channel Antilock Braking System (ABS).
In terms of features, the Honda Gold Wing Tour gets a 7-inch TFT Liquid Crystal display with Android Auto and Apple Carplay, onboard navigation, two USB Type-C ports, 55-watt audio system,an all-LED lighting system, electrically adjustable windscreen, Throttle-By-Wire technology, four-rider modes, Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), Hill-Start Assist (HSA), cruise control, self-canceling indicators, heated seats & grips, Smart Key (enables for the keyless opening of panniers and trunk), a top box at the rear, a tire pressure monitoring system, an airbag, idling start/stop function, and a massive 61-liter storage trunk in the back.
Interested customers can now book this Harley Davidson Road Glide rival at Honda’s BigWing premium dealerships across the country. Deliveries for the same are expected to begin in the upcoming weeks.
