2022 Bajaj Pulsar N160: What To Expect?

The successor to the great NS160, the N160 has been spied on multiple times in its camouflaged guise. Here are some things you can expect from the entry-level naked bike.

Same design visuals as the N250 lineup

It seems that the Bajaj is bringing over the new design philosophy from its Pulsar F250 and N250 lineup to the N160, with its underpinnings, LED headlamps and DRL setup, sharp fuel tank, split seat design, and floating panel setup being almost identical to the quarter-liter bike.

New 160cc DTSi Engine

Visually the story may be the same as the N250 but as you go closer, you’ll be able to see the all-new single cylinder, twin spark, fuel-injected DTSi motor nestled under all that familiar body. The new engine will have an underbelly exhaust like the NS160. The bike is also said to come with a kick start, which in such modern times poses a fleeting but nostalgic appeal.

Suspension and Safety Kit

Like the shared design cues with the N250, the twin-telescopic fork front suspension and mono-shock rear suspension will also be carried over to the N160. However, it is likely to get smaller dual disc brakes and single-channel ABS with Rear Lift-up Mitigation (RLM).

Price and Competition

Expected to replace the Bajaj Pulsar NS160, the N160 is likely to be priced similarly at around Rs 1.21 lakh (ex-showroom) and is said to go against the likes of the Suzuki Gixxer, Yamaha FZ-S Fi, and TV S Apache RTR 160 4V.
