2021 Yamaha Fascino 125 Hybrid And RayZR 125 Unveiled

Yamaha India has unveiled the updated Fascino and RayZR 125 scooters for 2021. The latest iterations of both scooters host several prominent updates related to their appearance, techs, and mechanicals. But the biggest highlight is the all-new hybrid petrol engine that will power both the scooters.

For 2021, the Fascino 125 dons more premium features like an LED headlight with a horizontally-placed LED daytime running lamp for better vision, LED tail lamp, and a full-digital instrument console that also gets Bluetooth connectivity exclusively for the disc variant, that lets the riders pair their smartphone to the scooter via Yamaha Motorcycle Connect X mobile application to access hots of connected features like hazard lamp, access riding history, locating the scooter, and more. Besides, the Fascino 125 also gets an optional USB charger.

The 2021 RayZR also gets similar features.

Another significant update for the Fascino is the three new color options – Vivid Red Special, Matt Black Special, and Cool Blue Metallic, alongside the existing body shades – Dark Matt Blue, Suave Copper, Vivid Red, Yellow Cocktail, Cyan Blue, and Metallic Black. The RayZR, on the other hand, gets four new hues – Matt Green, Matt Orange, Racing Blue, Reddish Yellow Cocktail.

Powering both scooters will be the existing 125cc single-cylinder air-cooled fuel-injected engine that now comes with a hybrid technology, which provides a power assist by the Smart Motor Generator with the engine to create a powerful riding experience when you twist the throttle from the standstill. With this, the torque output of the engine has also gone up to 10.3Nm, 0.6Nm more than before; however, at 8.2PS, the power output remains the same as earlier. Besides, both scooters will continue to get the silent start and idle start-stop system. The underpinnings of both the scooters have also remained unchanged.

For reference, currently, the Yamaha Fascino 125 retails from Rs 72,030 to Rs 75,530, and the RayZR 125 cost between Rs 73,330 to Rs 77,330 (ex-showroom Delhi).
